How does Rocket Man pay its workers?
All Rocket Man workers are paid by direct deposit according to the schedule below. If you do not have a bank account, we'll create a debit card account (aka "paycard") for you. All vendors are eligible, regardless of their credit history. Vendors keep all cash tips.

How Much Can a Walking Vendor Make?
Vendor earnings vary and are based on several factors: sales skill, pace of work, weather, product price, etc?. Here are the average vendor earnings for some events:
NFL Football (Colts, Bucs, Jags, Lions, Falcons) $200
KY Oaks & Derby $800
NASCAR- Busch Series $200
NASCAR- Nextel Cup Series $300
NHRA Racing- $150
Does Rocket Man Withhold Income Taxes.
NO. You receive 100% of your pay on pay day. If you earn more than $600 during the calendar year, we will issue a 1099-Misc. prior to January 31st of the following year.
Are Vendors Considered To Be Employees of Rocket Man, Inc.?
No. You are classified as Independent Contractors (approved by the IRS). As such, you are responsible for payment of all income taxes related to any earnings.
What Happens If A Vendor Doesn?t Show Up To Work? If a Vendor signs up to work at an event, his attendance is required. Any unexcused absence(s) will result in disciplinary action, that may include suspension or termination.
What Happens If A Vendor Breaks A Rule? Rocket Man has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. We will promptly dismiss, suspend or terminate a Vendor for breaking rules or not following procedures.
Does Rocket Man Provide Transportation for Vendors? Vendors usually provide their own transportation to events. We can help make car pooling arrangements. We occasionally organize charter bus transportation for major events.

Why Is The Company Named Rocket Man? Are you a big Elton John fan? The company was called Rocket Man because the company's first product, a backpack drink dispenser, resembled a Jet Pack worn by space explorers. Elton John's hit song "Rocket Man" had no influence on the selection of the name.
Who Owns Rocket Man? Rocket Man is a privately owned corporation. Mark Haertzen, Founder, is the majority stockholder.
Where Is Rocket Man Located? Our offices at 2249 Commerce Parkway are located in LaGrange, KY, nine miles northeast of Louisville, Kentucky.
